Pineapple Apocalypse RPG: Revolt Of The Binary Couriers
by TheOtherGuy
Wii RPG game.
Creator's Notes
================
Revolt Of The Binary Couriers is the sequel to Pineapple Apocalypse RPG and is the result of me typing random words in as a project name and then refusing to change the game title once its done. Hooray for nonsensical titles and plot less games.
Lame contest time: First person to post screen shots (there is a save screenshot option in the games home menu) with you talking to each of the 7 NPCs will win… Something… I dont know what. I’ll name a character after you in my next game or I’ll make a game based on your description or do something like that. Upload the pics to image shack or some similar site and post the link in my blog’s comments and let me know what you want.
The new world is four times the size of the original one. There are some new sprites. There are now the aforementioned NPCs that wander around the map and can be talked to (step up to them and they stop walking and some dialogue pops up on screen). there are boxes littered around the game world that you can collect. They dont actually serve any purpose but its not like the collect-a-thon is really any more aimless then the level grinding that the game focuses on. It isn’t a noticeable difference but the game is legitimately low rez this time. Last time I faked the retro look with pixelated looking sprites and by never positioning anything on screen anywhere that didn’t have two as a factor. This time around the game is actually rendered at 320×240 and then that small image is scaled up (nearest neighbor style) and drawn on screen. There is a new font. Most of the game was re written and the frame rate has been fixed up and now runs at the intended 60 frames per second (as apposed to the Wii version of the original Pineapple Apocalypse RPG which ran at a little bellow 30 and was noticeably unsmooth in its motion). I decided to enable walking at angles but since the character sprites dont have animations for it and I’m not sure I would be capable of making reasonable quality sprites at that resolution of characters walking at an angle it gives priority to the up down walking animations (if you walking down and to the left for example the characters play the walking down animation). I Didn’t add any new enemies but I corrected a mistake that was in the original Wii port which caused the last enemy on the list (giant mutant pineapple) to never appear. It no longer assumes you want to get fixe dup just because you bump up against a door and instead now requires you to hit accept. There is a game save/load menu. Some other changes also.
Hold the controller sideways (NES style) and use the directional pad to move and navigate menus. Press the two button to accept (in menus). Press either the plus or minus button to pause the game and bring up a menu for game saving and loading. As always hit the home button to bring up the home menu which allows you to exit the game.

MPlayer CE 0.77 Rev555
by Scip, Rodries, tipolosko, AgentX, Ludovic Orban, Tantric, Blue_K, metaradil
IMPORTANT NOTE: This is version 0.77. This is only an SVN update. Just add the boot.dol to your existing 0.76 package in folder "mplayer_ce".
MPlayer CE is an unofficial port of the very popular multimedia player for
various platforms including Windows and Linux. This Nintendo Wii port
features the same compatibility that the other versions offer, but is limited
in some aspects as it can't playback some high resolution videos due to the
processing power of the Wii.
MPlayer CE will allow you to watch various movies in different formats on
your Nintendo Wii including AVI, DIVX, XVID, MPEG2 and DVD Videos. It
actually supports a huge range of formats and can playback media from DVDs,
SD Cards, USB drives and over your local area network using Samba (SMB)
shares. MPlayer CE also allows you to listen to radio streams over the
Internet and watch YouTube.
CHANGELOG
==========
-Rewrote getch2-gekko.
-Corrected progressive fail.
-Re-enabled the PNG encoder since the screenshot filter depends on it.
-Increased the optimization level.
-Minor fixes.
-increased max volume
-more sync

MPlayer CE 0.77 Rev551
by Scip, Rodries, tipolosko, AgentX, Ludovic Orban, Tantric, Blue_K, metaradil
CHANGELOG Rev551
===============
-Added af_wiilight.
-Moved stuff around and cleaned up a bit.
-Wiimote timeout now depend on the battery level.
-Made startup more verbose.
-Corrected max texture resolution.
-Video output quality tweaks.
-Build date is now handled by a script.
-Minor changes to video init.
-Updated subfont.
-Added opencore-amr.

Memo: Wii news neighbours
We Brew Wii would like to respectfully ask all neighbouring Wii news sites to start accrediting We Brew Wii for its original Wii news source posts.
We Brew Wii found several original news source posts, all found since tehskeens unfortunate end, which were not found by any other news site and were only found on the author's official page. These original posts were quite quickly replicated witin 24hours of the We Brew Wii post, by several unamed neighbouring sites. Further neighbouring news sites only reference the first news replicator. Not the original news source posts.
In the spirit of honest cooperation, We Brew Wii will accredit our respectful neighbours for their original news source posts. Please respectfully do the same for us.
Much thanks to our neighbours who already do!

Categorii 2.0 Pre-set Package #1 & #2
by xflak40
Keep all your apps organized into different folders (sub-directories) using Categorii v2.0 (and/or Homebrew Sorter).
Another great feature of categorii is being able to password protect certain folders (and hence certain apps), this way you can stop worrying about kids (or noobs friends) using dangerous apps that have the potential to brick you (ie. any title deleter). To add a password you have to edit the meta.xml for that categorii folder (instructions on how to edit the meta.xml are on the categorii wiibrew website)
This preset package has the following Categorii's/Folders already set up (without any passwords)
Categorii's
-Emulators
-Games
-Installers
-Media
-Misc
-Utilities
*pictures of icons for the above folders can be seen here
Each Categorii also has a back button(to go back to the main/normal app folder)
This download also included Homebrew Sorter(Homebrew Sorteris an alternative to categorii, I still prefer categorii, but some users may prefer homebrew sorter)
Categorii v2.0 Pre-set Package #1 (Tree Style)
One category (lets call it apps_) that consists only of links to all the other categories, and all the other categories would have a link back button that take you back to the main folder (apps_)
Categorii v2.0 Pre-set Package #2 (Web Style)
This is the "Web" package, so each categorii has links to every other categorii (like a web)

AnyTitle Deleter DB 1.0 v4
by MrClick, giantpune
AnyTitle Deleter DB uses tona's AnyTitle Deleter and adds several features.
Its main purpose is to list all titles (such as channels, IOS, etc...) and allow the user to delete the ones he/she wants to get rid of.
Red Squirrel released AnyTitle Deleter MOD which used an external database to associate the cryptic title IDs (such as "HAXX") with a meaningful name (such as "Homebrew Channel"). AnyTitle Deleter DB uses his database format to achieve the same goal but adds support to read the title's name from the titles banner.bin or 00000000.app file which are stored internally in the Wii's NAND. Not all titles have a banner.bin or 00000000.app - actually only some channels and about half of all game saves have a banner.bin while 00000000.app files are found only in most channels, never in gamesaves - but combining the names on NAND with Red Squirrel's database allows the user to work with a broder scope of title names. This way cleaning up your Wii's internal storage is made easier and much faster than using Nintendo's gamesave and channel manager.
CHANGELOG 1.0 v4
================
-checks the first .app file instead of just 00000000.app to allow more names to be found.
-for 0x10000 type TID, it checks the data and content folders. if there is 0 items in the data and only a title.tmd in the content, it puts a TMD! by the name (if the IOS will let it).
-there are 2 flavors, one that just uses the highest IOS counting down from 36 and one that uses 249.

================

Tanooki - NSMBWii Save Editor 1.2
by Virus and Vash
Edits saved game from NSMB.
Creator's Notes
===============
We've decided against reinventing the wheel (since Reggie! is already so wonderfully round) and instead we've turned Tanooki into the only NSMBWii save editor! We will keep the beta downloads up for those of you who still would like to use our simplistic level editor.
CHANGELOG v1.2
==============
-experimental Stage-To-Save level injection system. This system allows you to use custom levels without ever touching the ISO image.

WiiQix
by Godrik
Port of arcade game Qix.
The objective of Qix is to fence off, or “claim”, a supermajority of the playfield. At the start of each level, the playing field is a large, empty rectangle, containing the Qix — a sticklike entity that performs graceful, but unpredictable motions within the confines of the rectangle.
The player controls a small diamond-shaped marker that can move around the edges of the rectangle, with the goal to claim as much of the screen as possible via drawing Stix. When the player completes a closed shape, the captured area becomes solid and points are awarded. To complete a level, the player must claim most of the playfield. (The game was shipped at 75 percent, but the arcade operator could adjust the requirement between 50 percent and 90 percent.)
The player's marker had the option of moving at two different speeds; areas drawn at the slower speed (red on the screenshot shown) were worth double points.
The player has a limited number of lives and can lose a life if the Qix touches a Stix line as it is being drawn, or by being touched by Sparx - enemies that traverse all playfield edges except uncompleted Stix. Additionally, a Fuse appears if the marker stops moving whilst in the process of drawing Stix, disappearing when the player starts moving again. The player has no ability to defend themselves, and all enemies must be outmaneuvered.
A time meter located at the top of the screen is responsible for the countdown of the entry of additional Sparx and the mutation of all Sparx to Super-Sparx, which have the ability to chase the player even up an unfinished Stix line.
After the player completes two levels, the difficulty increases. This includes multiple Qixes and Sparxes, speed increases, and the eventual appearance of only Super Sparxes.
