Super Mario War Wii 1.0

by Tantric

This is a port of Super Mario War to the Wii, using SDL Wii. It should be fully functional (with the exception of netplay - which requires someone (hint) to port SDL_Net). To make this port possible, I've had to rewrite significant portions of SDL Wii, particularly a complete re-write of the file, video, and sound systems. However, I'm hoping this work will encourage other developers to port more SDL-based games and applications to the Wii.

Usage
=====
Copy the apps/ and smw/ folders to the root of your SD card.

Wolfenstein 3D Wii 1.1a Shareware & Full

by MrPenut

Wolfenstein 3D Wii 1.1a Shareware & Full have been released. This port allows full gameplay. Port is still in testing.

Either download "Shareware" if you don't have the game. "Full" if you already purchased a copy of Wolfenstein 3D for PC, just copy over the .dol to the game folder.

What's New?
===========
1) Save/Load bug is fixed.
2) icon.png by Kezza826 added.
3) If you have the full versions of the data files, download the file marked "(full)." This will allow you to play all 6 episodes. Like I said I'd like to implement a loader in the near future, or just ONE engine but since we can now save/load our games I figured I'd just compile the full version as well for now.
4) If you have the Spear of Destiny *.SOD files, you can now play Spear of Destiny on your Wii. Just download the Spear of Destiny archive from the drop and install. Note: The data files are not included for Spear of Destiny and the "(full)" Wolfenstein 3D file.
5) mustgowhee has pointed out an issue where you go back to the game from the main menu, your status bar will not display correctly. This is now fixed. Thank you for bringing that to my attention mustgowhee.
6) If you hold the b button on your wiimote, turning turns to strafe. Try it out and let me know what you think. Like I said I DO want to do two different control sets: classic and modern with classic being what we have now, and modern being wiimote/nunchuk.

Q1Rev

by Izhido

A port of id Software's Quake for the Nintendo Wii.

The source code comes from Q1DS (an initial attempt to port the engine to the Nintendo DS), which, in turn, comes from the original winquake, one of the projects that can be obtained at ftp://ftp.idsoftware.com/idstuff/source/q1source.zip .

The engine is feature-complete, it plays the game at 30fps with no hiccups or any similar problems. It can also be used as a client for Internet-based gameplay, as a "unmodified" NetQuake client.

    Wolfenstein 3D - Wii Test Version

    by MrPeanut
    Information about the release
    =====================
  • Based on Wolf4SDL v.1.6
  • Everything works w/ the exception of music and adlib (synthesized sound), your regular sound (gun shots, opening doors) work.
  • Just noticed now right before I started writing: saving games work, loading doesn't... I'll fix that soon...
  • I don't know what else needs to be fixed so I'm letting everyone test, pm or talk to me on irc if you have any suggestions...
  • Due to the nature of the engine, it can only be compiled for one version of the data files at a time, so I'm posting the engine along with the shareware files since that's what it's compiled for at the moment. I eventually want to write a loader for each version of have the engine decide dynamically how to load the data files but that's for another day.

    Wii Device Library 1.1

    Wii Device Library is a cross platform C# class library that provides an interface to various Wii related devices, like the Wiimote, Classic Controller, Nunchuk and Balance Board.
    It’s possible to use Wii devices like the Wiimote or Balance Board with your computer. All you need besides one of these devices is some kind of bluetooth device. This could either be a bluetooth dongle or bluetooth built into your pc or laptop.

    When using the Wii Device Library you don’t have to worry about all the bluetooth stuff, you can just access your device of choice through a simple and intuitive interface. Also new Wii devices and extensions can be implemented by this interface without recompiling Wii Device Library.
    Another nice feature is the ability to scan for Wii devices through bluetooth and connect to them when they are available. This makes it possible to automatically connect to Wii devices when they are syncing. It uses the libraries of several bluetooth stacks to scan, connect and communicate with the Wii devices. Also this part of the library can be extended with support for more bluetooth stacks and/or operating systems.

    Homebrew Channel Guide (All System Menus)

    ======================
    ...............4.1, 4.2, 4.3...............
    ======================

    There are 5 methods to install Homebrew Channel on any current System Menu verison and region.

    LETTER BOMB
    ============

    LETTER BOMB (1)(2)

    LetterBomb is a safe way to enable homebrew on a Wii without hardware modification. LetterBomb is achieved by use of the Wii Messageboard which executes a homebrew application from an external SD card. Examples of such homebrew .elf or .dol files can be found on the Homebrew applications page. LetterBomb was created by Team Twiizers. This exploit only works with any region of System Menu 4.3.

    This exploit works without any game in a manner very similar to the now defunct Bannerbomb.

    Requirements
    ============
    1.SD or SHDC formatted as FAT16 or FAT32 (Preferably FAT16)
    2.System Menu 4.3 (any region).
    3.Your Wii’s WiFi MAC Address (available from your Wii’s system settings). This is needed because the Wii will only accept messages addressed to its specific MAC address.
    4.Some possibility to copy the savegame from the PC to the SD card (card reader, printer, etc.)
    5.Some homebrew software to load, (HackMii Installer) Although this isn't necessary, it's highly recommended (Will boot "boot.elf" file on root of SD)

    Instructions
    ============
    1.On Computer: Rename "private" folder to "privateold" on your SD card.
    2.On Computer: Copy the "private" directory from the LetterBomb download to the root of your SD card.
    3.On Computer: Take your homebrew (Preferably Hackmii Installer) and put it in the ROOT of your SD card as "boot.elf" Note that you can download the Hackmii Installer directly from the download link provided above.
    4.Wii: Put your SD card in your Wii and turn it on.
    5.Wii: Go into the Wii Messageboard and navigate to "Today", "Yesterday" or "Two days ago".
    6.Wii: Click on the appropriate envelope, sit back and prepare for the hacking glory.

    RETURN OF THE JODI
    =====================

    RETURN OF THE JODI (1)(2)
